Light Bulb

This one came to me from insperation of Michael Katchan. I was browsing through his website, and what sparked me was how lose his drawings were. They were crips, and clean but they were also loose. It was pretty neat. I've been pretty much trying my hand at realistic colour and drawing for the past while, but now i've decied to go towards what i'm good at. Line drawing and crosshatching. I did this with mixed ideas. First of all, I origionally intended this to be two works not one but I kept falling short after a good hour or so into each. The background image, of the man with the caved in face was going to be one called "High 5" but alas I didn't know what else to put in there. The second one with the oddly shaped female light bulb was the brainfart of mine i got after looking through gallery coming across this, A quick note later askin for premission and I was on my way. (I hope she can come see this, I wonder what her reaction is going to be...)

A very good pose, and quite creepy in one respect probably because of how she is twisting her body and then I thought "..... COOL!" And well, half way through working with it, I turned it into a lightbulb a human light bulb in a sense. The trail of blood was tossed in there with the first aspect of color. Everything else was just coloured today. And well, there ya have it. Work time, I figure since I started high 5 around wedensday, and started lightbulb around thursday combined them today and coloured them. A good 6 hours or so 2 hour work time each day give or take..
